Today I'm going to try a more spastic photo journalism approach to this thing so I don't have to write as much. A picture says 1,000 words.....so I don't have to.
We'll start here, I am officially a 'fluent communicator' in Bahasa Indonesia and am done with classes for the time being. I'm very excited to ship out to Flores on Tuesday!

Before parting ways with Alam Bahasa, I had the pleasure to cook with one of my teachers. Since they know I love fish and vegetables so much, they brought exactly that for the ingredients and I got to have wonderful lunch with all 6 of my awesome teachers!
(For those interested..... coriander, garlic, and salt ground and stuffed into the fish to marinade. Fish lightly fried (fried in palm oil or coconut oil). Then slathered with 'catsup' with the leftover coriander/garlic/salt and grilled to finish. I had my doubts, but the end product was DELICIOUS. Also, that fish......is a bastard. VERY SHARP.)

My time in Yogyakarta has been nice. There are lots of fun people here and now I will share with you the photos that were taken with a tiny, tiny fraction of people that asked to have their pictures taken with me. When I start charging them, I'll be rich enough to buy you all round trip tickets here for a visit.
I'm now going to throw in some random photos so that you can feel like you're really truly spending all the moments of every day here with me in Yogyakarta.
1. The view from my classroom. Welcome to Rainy Season in SE Asia.
2. A snake that I found at the Animal Market. I. Hate. Snakes.
3. A beautiful pineapple I found..........growing right next to the toilet.

For people that have never lived in Indonesia
- On your government ID card, you are required to state your religion
- People drive on the left side of the road (drive is used loosley)
- Netherlands is called 'Belanda'
- Everybody thought I was from Washington D.C. Then I tried this tactic:
- "Have you ever seen the movie Twilight? Yes? Great! There! I live there. Same place." Works every time.
- I haven't consumed alcohol or eaten pork in 1 month. Call me muslim! I've arrived.
I hope you have enjoyed my stellar phone photography and even more talented writing this evening.
Questions? Comments? I'm ready for them.
